Payment Option

We accept Cash in American Dollars ($USD), Euros (€) and British Pound (£) only.
All payments from overseas bank accounts must pay the invoice in full. Any bank and/or transaction fees are not payable by us.
We accept all major Credit/Debit Card (A 3.5% surcharge will apply to all credit card transactions to cover their administration fee).

Bookings Payment Policy

All groups must be pre-paid prior to departure. Any verbal quote given is only an estimate of price, which will be subject to a written advice on confirmation of the reservation.
We regret that no credit or refund is possible for any unused services provided in the cost of your holiday. If you decide to alter your travel arrangements whilst abroad, this is your own responsibility and The Mountain Tours & Safari are not responsible for any extras or difficulties that may arise with onward travel as a result of such alterations.
In the unlikely event of a delay, arrangements for meals, overnight accommodation etc, should be met by your airline. If you are joining a group and flight delays mean that additional transfers etc. are required to enable you to join the group, these costs must be met by you the client and should later be reclaimed under your insurance policy if applicable.
Our quoted prices are based on current (last site update) exchange rates and on-the-ground prices. The price of a tour may vary at any time before The Mountain Tours & Safari have accepted a booking from you, and they may be varied after your booking is made. Should the variation be in excess of 10% of the holiday cost the client will have the right to a refund of all monies paid.
Our holidays are planned many months in advance, it is therefore possible that some arrangements may have to be changed and we reserve the right to at any time.
Compensation payments do not apply to changes caused by reasons of war, riots, civic strike, terrorist activity, industrial dispute, natural disasters, fire, closure of an airport or port, adverse weather conditions and similar events beyond our control. In case of such an event The Mountain Tours & Safari will have no liability other than to offer you an alternative comparable holiday, if available, or offer a refund of monies paid by you
Bookings can only be accepted for persons under eighteen years of age when accompanied by an adult who will be responsible for them.
Cancellations within 24 hours and “no shows” or “change of mind” on the day will be charged full payment per booked as per confirmation of the reservation.

Bookings must be accompanied by a 30% deposit. The complete balance is due no later than four weeks prior to the starting date of your tour. If the booking is made within this time then the full amount should be paid with the booking.
If the balance due is not received by the due date we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled. Appropriate cancellation charges may be levied.
Late bookings are accepted at the Director’s discretion. The Mountain Tours & Safari is not responsible for lost accommodation/activity bookings if this is due to a delay in receiving a payment from you.
It is the responsibility of the group tour company to settle their account within their contracted credit agreement terms with The Mountain Tours & Safari.

Free Of Charge Policy (FOC Policy)

Group leaders or guides will receive complimentary admission (whilst accompanying group). Any additional FOCs must be approved in advance by the sales department. Usually for the groups we offer 1 pax free every 20 full paying pax.

Very efficient tour operator. I booked the 8 days Zanzibar tour and everything was perfect. Since the beginning they were very efficient. They answer to all your questions within one day and they send all the information you need before departure. The tour was well organized, intensive because we only had 8 days but it really covered the most important places. The Best Way To See Zanzibar

We were on an 11-day tour of the Northern and Central/Urban part of Zanzibar with a group of 16. We could not have been happier. We were split into two groups each with a guide, Ali and Mohammed. But we were often together giving us two guides. They were wonderful, so knowledgeable, helpful and caring. They could not do enough for us. They were so open and honest about their lives we gained insights into Zanzibar we could never have had without them. They were also hilariously funny. We loved all our stops but would have liked to have spent another night in Kendwa. We would highly recommend the trip.
